  This review will be focusing on Crazy Rich Asians  by Kevin Kwan. It is the first of a series of three books, following a girl named Rachel Chu, who gets involved with one of the richest men in China unknowingly, and detailing all the drama that comes with it. It was made into a fantastic movie in 2018, which I would highly recommend watching if you haven't seen it.  The book is a romance novel, but not too romantic, you know? It follows the love story of Rachel and Nick, but also follows a whole other whack of characters, too. The book takes place mainly in Singapore, and the story gives details into the crazy money of the Singaporean rich people. These characters have the kind of money common people like myself could only dream about.  I loved the characters. I loved the story. Keepers of the Ark Review

  This review is going to focus on Keeper of the Ark by J. Robert Kennedy. This book is apart of the James Acton series, though it doesn't need to be read in any particular order. This is the first James Acton adventure I've read and I followed along quite easily.  This book follows two married professors, Laura Palmer and James Acton, who have a tendency for getting themselves into historical/archeological related trouble. This story, however, focuses on the Ark of the Covenant, like the one from the Indiana Jones movie, which they mention numerous times. The professors are tasked with creating a chamber to preserve the Ark from time and elements that have been cruel to it, all while beating out groups of treasure hunters from all over the world who want to steal it for their own gain. Reading and How it is Important When Writing

  When you want to be a writer, there are some tips that come up again and again. Anyone who is anyone as a writer knows that reading is one of the most important things you can do to build up your writing skills. I spent most of my life loving to read and I can say, in terms of both casual writing and academic writing, the extensive reading list I've got under my belt has benefitted me greatly. To begin with, reading is an excellent way to know what kind of style you like. Reading shows you what kind of books you like and what kind of writing style suits you best. Personally, I love the fantasy genre and all the books that come with it. I also love the way John Green writes. I also know that there are other ways that are just as good for writing and there are other genres that are just as interesting, but when it comes to my own writing, I love making my writing come across as conversational and the way a reader can fully immerse themselves into the fantasy world I have created.
